BOUGARABOU
This drum originates with the Jola people of southern Cassemance. It is a long slender drum with cow or antelope skin. This drum has a rich tone and deep bass. Traditionally up to four bougarabou are played by one person, each drum being tuned to a different pitch.
GOUMBE
This is the African version of the conga and has an antelope or cow skin head. It has a warm mellow tone.
